The Tour

One year through North America

The general plan was to follow good climate. I’d start the tour at Anchorage in Alaska, ride over into the Yukon in Canada then head south east through British Columbia to Jasper National Park in Alberta. I planned to continue south into the United States at Yellowstone Park, Montana and follow the Rocky Mountains down to New Mexico. From there I would head west into the desert states of the US, Arizona, Nevada and then California’s coast later in the year.

All being well I would continue down the West coast following the Baja in Mexico, cross into Mazatlán and continue the tour down to southern Mexico through the winter months.

The destination is unknown

As this all seems very ambitious to me, currently, the plan goes grey after Oaxaca in Southern Mexico. Ideally I would continue south and enjoy the tropics of Central America and possibly conclude the tour in Panama but maybe go further into South America. However, as I’m writing this one month in, I’m very aware of the commitment required to make that distance without pushing on a bit too fast. So I suppose we’ll just see how far I get in one year!
