I got the bug for bike touring back in 2015 after cycling top to bottom of the UK with my mate Carl.
Cycling wise it’s been pretty much just mountain biking since then but I’ve always craved another unsupported long distance bike tour.
Somehow I’d not managed to travel to America and Canada until this trip and it’s always been on ‘the list’ for me.
By managing to secure twelve months unpaid leave with my job Machining in Derby. I decided to attempt spending the time wisely and make the dream happen.
With good health, £10k savings and a big bag of time off work, in June 2022 I got flights to Alaska with my touring bike and camping gear.
